WordPress Theme Talian with Targeted AdSense Ads, Clickbank ads included and SEO Improvements Creator: David Cameron Law (aka SEO Dave) Latest Version of theme: http://www.google-adsense-templates.co.uk/wordpress-theme-talian-with-adsense-and-seo-optimisation.html Version: 05 Based on original Talian Theme: http://www.va4business.com/business/64/free-premium-wordpress-blog-theme-talian-released-an-elegant-theme-that-is-very-much-close-to-my-heart/ Author: Steve Arun Setting Your AdSense ID ----------------------- Log into your sites Dashboard after installing Talian 05 and click Appearance >> Talian AdSense and Clickbank + SEO On the admin menu change the "AdSense Publisher ID" setting to your Google AdSense Publisher ID. The id listed by default is mine - pub-8325072546567078 You can get your AdSense ID from any Google AdSense ad unit you've created in the past (or future). If you aren't sure what this is log in to AdSense and create a new content ad unit (any will do) you'll get a box with this sort of info within it- This bit google_ad_client = "pub-################"; is unique for every AdSense user. Copy your version of pub-################ over mine. When you have the right code click the "Store Options" button. AdSense is now setup. More AdSense Options -------------------- As you can see on the admin page there are quite a lot of AdSense options, all except the AdSense ID as described above are optional. The majority of the remaining options are straight forward and described on the options page. Custom Ad Channels ------------------ To add a custom ad channel log into Google AdSense go to AdSense Setup > Channels If you already have Google AdSense channels copy the ID number from the AdSense Setup > Channels page and paste it into the appropriate box on the admin page. Each of the 6 ad channels correspond to one of the 6 ad units available with this theme. Float Left or Float Right ------------------------- The main content AdSense ad that floats to the right of the main content can now be floated to the left instead. Changing Ad Unit Sizes ---------------------- I've not incorporated this into the admin panel yet because it's a LOT of settings that the vast majority of users won't change. To edit the sizes on ad units load the adsense.php file in a text editor and follow the instructions. David Law http://www.google-adsense-templates.co.uk/
