Connections Reloaded is based on the original Connections and Connections Reloaded themes (Connections Reloaded was based on Connections) with AdSense/SEO coding. Like all AdSense/SEO WordPress themes sold on this site Connections Reloaded has had it’s coding updated to work in the very latest version of WordPress whilst not forgetting backwards compatibility (will work on WordPress 2.0 for example).

A new feature from the Google AdSense ads team, the ability to have very or slightly rounded corners on the borders of your Google AdSense Ad units.

Have changed the theme for this site to use very rounded corners and I like it, so have updated all my WordPress AdSense themes to have the option of using/not using very/slightly rounded corners and have sent out an update to all WordPress with SEO/AdSense themes customers for free (all themes updated and working with WordPress 2.5).

What’s a Rounded Google AdSense Border?

Not got a clue what a rounded corners ad looks like, well your on a page using them now so as long as there’s text based ads within these ads (image ads currently show as square borders) you should see an example of a very rounded corner ad unit (the corner of the border surrounding the ad is curved rather than the original square).

WordPress 2.5 was released a couple of days ago so I’ve been updating my own WordPress installations (have over 50 of them) to version 2.5 and testing the WordPress AdSense/SEO themes available to buy on this site to make sure there are no issues.

Looks like they have made no major changes to the template system in WordPress 2.5 since all my 2.3 compatible AdSense/SEO themes are also WordPress 2.5 compatible, so anyone who has bought a theme from this site and kept up to date with the free updates I email out whenever I do an update should have no major problems when updating to WordPress 2.5.

I finally bit the bullet and took a look at the widget plugin, well to be precise widgets are included with WordPress 2.3, 2.5, 2.6 and 2.7 so took a look at that

Figured out how to use widgets and have added them to a test version of the Talian theme, just a matter of cleaning up the coding and adding the appropriate code to all the themes on the site now. As long as I get the time shouldn’t take more than a week to update all WordPress themes and send them out to current customers (update: only took a few days, all current and future themes are fully widget friendly).

Update: added widget support to all AdSense/SEO WordPress themes on the site

Fresh is now a WordPress 2.* compatible theme, in particular the new WordPress 2.3 tag feature works with our Fresh theme (the original Fresh theme may or may not work with 2.3, not checked). Added WordPress 2.3 compatibility December 2008.

Fresh is also Widget compatible, works with the new widget feature added to WordPress 2.3 (no theme editing needed). Added widget compatibility January 2008.
